The actions of ELLOK are supported by a team of specialized staff who share its vision:
Legal Advisor
Maroussa is a lawyer who volunteers her legal advisory services to the Breast Cancer Women's Association "Alma Zois" in Thessaloniki, of which she is a member. She provides services in the areas of cancer patient rights, healthcare services, as well as the administration and management of associations.
Director
She studied Communication and Media Studies at Panteion University and holds a Master's degree in Arts and Cultural Organization Management from the Rome Business School. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for over twenty years, contributing to the protection of vulnerable groups (victims of diseases, natural or man-made disasters, and victims of violence) in both international and local organizations. She has extensive experience in communication, fundraising, and management. In her free time, she writes children's books.
Program Manager
Since 2020, Aris Kaparakis has been a member of the ELLOK team as Program Manager. He is a graduate political scientist and has previously worked in Greek and international news agencies (radio, television, internet) in the fields of international relations, politics, environment, and social policy issues. Later, he took on administrative roles in NGOs and secondary and tertiary bodies and organizations, serving as a press officer and event coordinator, as well as being responsible for the implementation of European programs on issues related to environmental matters (climate change) and the inclusion, education, and access to healthcare for vulnerable social groups (long-term unemployed, minorities, Roma, etc.).
European Programs Manager
Katerina Nikitara has studied Nutrition and Dietetics at Harokopio University and completed her postgraduate studies in "Health Education and Promotion" at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Over the past five years, she worked as a researcher at the University of Crete on European Programs related to cancer risk factors, such as smoking. At the Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK), she has taken on the role of Head of European Programs.
Head of Communications, Marketing, and Events
Panagiotis Paineisis is a graduate of the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion University of Athens, with a focus on Journalism. He completed his postgraduate studies in Psychology at the University of East London. In the past, he has worked as Head of Communications and a copywriter for a non-profit organization focused on Arts in Health, specializing in improving the quality of life for cancer patients through the visual arts. At ELLOK, he works as the Head of Communications, Marketing, and Events.
Head of Administrative Support, Corporate Relations, and Membership Development at ELL.O.K.
Angela Masselou studied Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and completed postgraduate studies in Organic Synthesis at Queen Mary College (University of London). She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 36 years in senior positions, responsible for Marketing, Sales, Development, and Third-Party Alliances. She is distinguished for her commitment to finding innovative and applicable solutions for patient access to medication and her contribution to improving their quality of life. For over 20 years, she has actively supported programs and initiatives of non-profit organizations operating both in Greece and abroad.
Project officer
Είναι απόφοιτη του Τμήματος Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς. Από το 2019 συμμετέχει στο Εργαστήριο Τ.Ε.Μ. του Πανεπιστημίου. Έχει εργαστεί στον τομέα εξεύρεσης πόρων και διαχείρισης έργων σε ΜΚΟ και εκπαιδευτικούς οργανισμούς, με εμπειρία στη διεξαγωγή δράσεων και εργαστηρίων για παιδιά και έφηβα άτομα με ψυχοκοινωνικές δυσκολίες. Ταυτόχρονα είναι ιδιαίτερα ενεργή στον τομέα της Κοινωνίας των Πολιτών, συμμετέχοντας εθελοντικά σε πρωτοβουλίες που αποσκοπούν στην ψυχοκοινωνική και πολιτισμική ενδυνάμωση, την κοινωνική ένταξη και την ενεργό πολιτειότητα. Στην ΕΛΛΟΚ ασχολείται με τα ευρωπαϊκά προγράμματα.
Project Manager
Σπούδασε Ιστορία και Φιλοσοφία της Επιστήμης στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Έχει εργαστεί σε εθνικά και ευρωπαϊκά έργα, αρχικά στο ΕΚΠΑ και αργότερα στο Εθνικό Κέντρο Τεκμηρίωσης και Ηλεκτρονικού Περιεχομένου. Στο ΕΚΤ διετέλεσε επίσης Εθνικό Σημείο Επαφής για προγράμματα του Πυλώνα Ι του Ορίζοντα Ευρώπη για τις χρηματοδοτικές δράσεις MSCA. Είναι Deputy Director σε ΑμκΕ , η οποία στοχεύει στην εμπεριστατωμένη γνωριμία μαθητών και σπουδαστών με τα επαγγέλματα του μέλλοντος και την διαμόρφωση επαγγελματικής νοοτροπίας, από το 2019. Έχει εργαστεί ως εθελόντρια σε δράσεις και θεσμούς που ασχολούνται με την φροντίδα και την ενδυνάμωση παιδιών και εφήβων για περισσότερα από είκοσι πέντε χρόνια. Είναι ερευνήτρια στον χώρο των Ανθρωπιστικών Επιστημών με δημοσιεύσεις στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Στην Ελληνική Ομοσπονδία Καρκίνου είναι Project Manager του National Cancer Mission Hub Ελλάδας και μέλος της ομάδας έργου των Ευρωπαϊκών Προγραμμάτων.
Δημόσιες Σχέσεις
Επαγγελματίας στον χώρο της πολιτικής και των δημόσιων σχέσεων, με εμπειρία στους τομείς της υγείας, του τουρισμού, των μη κερδοσκοπικών οργανισμών, καθώς και του δημόσιου και ιδιωτικού τομέα. Έχει υποστηρίξει επαγγελματίες υγείας, έχει εργαστεί στην προώθηση της Ελλάδας ως συνεδριακό προορισμό και πλέον εστιάζει στην εκπροσώπηση των ασθενών, με έμφαση στον καρκίνο και την πολιτική υγείας σε εθνικό και ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο. Δίνει έμφαση στη συνεργασία και επιδιώκει τη μετάφραση του διαλόγου σε ουσιαστική πολιτική δράση.
Στον ελεύθερο χρόνο της σκιτσάρει, αναζητά τα ίχνη του Βυζαντίου και εμπνέεται από τη μαγεία της φύσης. Στην ομάδα της ΕΛΛΟΚ, συνεισφέρει στα θέματα πολιτικής και δημόσιων σχέσεων.
