The state and health authorities have so far placed the patient at the center only in words. We advocate for a truly patient-centered approach in practice: with institutional representation of cancer patients in the relevant bodies as equal partners.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our main priorities in cancer policy are the need for the country to have a modern\u00a0National Action Plan for Cancer Control\u00a0<\/b>in combination with a reliable population-based\u00a0National Cancer Registry<\/b>\u00a0and a\u00a0National Institute of Neoplasms<\/b>, which are essential prerequisites for cancer control and an efficient oncology care system.<\/p>\n

Our proposals, submitted to the political leadership through memoranda and letters, focus on timely access to innovative medicines, mental health, Primary Health Care, the establishment of the National Public Health Organization, the digitalization of health services, coverage of the costs for necessary diagnostic tests and biomarkers, and full coverage of the costs of medications for comorbidities or side effects of cancer treatments, among other issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
