Current\u00a0program<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a project funded by Erasmus+ that aims to connect social prescribing with volunteering, creating an environment and an approach that supports the health and well-being of individuals with health and rehabilitation needs.<\/p>\n

The project will address the training and education needs of professionals in the fields of healthcare, social care, and rehabilitation, as well as leaders of NGOs\/civil society and policymakers, having an immediate impact on\u00a0the EU Mission for cancer<\/strong>\u00a0and contributing in\u00a0the National Cancer Misson Plans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Main target<\/strong><\/p>\n

This project aims in\u00a0transnational collaboration and interdisciplinary approach<\/strong>\u00a0for the promotion of dialogue, knowledge exchange, and shared understanding of\u00a0\u03ba\u03bf\u03b9\u03bd\u03c9\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae\u03c2 \u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03b3\u03bf\u03b3\u03c1\u03ac\u03c6\u03b7\u03c3\u03b7\u03c2<\/strong>,as well as addressing common training and education needs. In this way, the quality of the work, activities, and practices of organizations and institutions involved in social prescribing will be improved.<\/p>\n

At the same time, SPACE will pave the way for\u00a0new stakeholders<\/strong>\u00a0who are not usually involved in such initiatives, enabling transformation and change. This will lead to\u00a0improvements and innovative approaches<\/strong>\u00a0at various levels of practice and policy, especially in the context of\u00a0the EU Mission on Cancer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Targets<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main targets\u00a0program<\/strong>\u00a0are:<\/p>\n

Collaboration with relevant stakeholders<\/strong>\u00a0to develop an appropriate approach for integrating volunteering into social prescribing, which can be adapted and implemented across Europe, with a focus on individuals recovering from cancer.<\/p>\n

Strengthening of skills and self-confidence<\/strong>\u00a0of professionals in the fields of healthcare, social care, and rehabilitation, as well as staff and volunteers from NGOs\/Civil Society, so they can actively participate in the social prescribing program.<\/p>\n

Increase awareness and interest<\/strong>\u00a0for the value of volunteering in\u00a0urban\/community gardens<\/strong>value of volunteering as part of social prescribing programs, particularly for individuals who have suffered from cancer or are in the process of recovery, ensuring the integration of community-based support systems in the rehabilitation process\u00a0sustainability of the outcomes<\/strong>\u00a0of the project, both for professionals and policymakers.<\/p>\n

Current\u00a0program<\/strong>\u00a0aims to create a positive and innovative environment where social prescribing and volunteering will work together\u00a0complementarily<\/strong>\u00a0to improve the quality of life for patients, as well as to empower the professionals and communities involved in this important effort.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
