INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

ELLOK has a clear European orientation and pursues international collaborations. We believe in collaboration with other European and international cancer stakeholders from various disciplines and countries to enlarge our horizons, exchange best practices and promote collaboration on topics of common interest.

European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC)

Our active participation in ECPC (European Cancer Patient Coalition), the largest and reputable European cancer patients’ umbrella organization, has already created a new, highly positive climate for the promotion of the Greek positions.

Union International Contre le Cancer (UICC)

The Union for International Cancer Control’s (UICC) with a membership base of over 1,200 organisations in 172 countries, represents the world’s major cancer societies, ministries of health and patient groups and includes influential policy makers, researchers and experts in cancer prevention and control. UICC also boasts more than 50 strategic partners. ELLOK as a full member will strengthen the relations with UICC started five years ago with our support and endorsement of the World Cancer Day Campaign.

Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC)

The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) is an international, interdisciplinary organization dedicated to research and education in all aspects of supportive care for people with cancer regardless of the stage of their disease. Founded in 1990, MASCC now includes members in more than 70 countries. ELLOK is represented MASCC through its President.

International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC)

The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is the only global network dedicated to the study and eradication of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies. By hosting global conferences, funding cutting-edge research, and educating the health care community and the public about thoracic cancers, the IASLC works to alleviate the burden lung cancer places on patients, families, and communities. ELLOK is represented in IASLC through the membership of its President.

European Chronic Disease Alliance (ECDA)

Our participation in the joint Initiative undertaken by the European Chronic Disease Alliance (ECDA), as well as the signing of a joint statement on “Improving the employment of people with chronic diseases in Europe” addressed to the European Commission, the European Institutions and the Governments of the Member States, has boosted our international presence.

Pancreatic Cancer Europe (PCE)

Pancreatic Cancer Europe¹ is a European umbrella organization for pancreatic cancer and ELLOK is among its founding members.

World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC)

WPCC has a globally diverse membership that is highly engaged and unified in its vision and purpose. Members have access to universal tools and resources for World Pancreatic Cancer Day and throughout the year. WPCC speaks with a unified voice by using consistent data and information to provide the public with accurate and up-to-date messages about pancreatic cancer.

AMR Stakeholder Network

ELLOK participates in the AMR Stakeholder Network², initiated by the EPHA-European Public Health Alliance European working group on antimicrobial resistance. AMR is a network of stakeholders committed to tackling Antimicrobial Resistance³, i.e. the misuse of strong antibiotics, as well as the subsequent hospital acquired infections.
