Following the highly productive 1st Greek Forum on Cancer in July 2024, the Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELL.O.K. is organizing the “2nd Synergies Forum on Cancer Policy, Research & Funding Strategies”, which will take place in Athens on June 30 – July 1, 2025, at the Wyndham Grand Athens hotel.

The 2nd Synergies Forum will be open to the public, while the sessions will also be live-streamed in both Greek and English.

This Forum aims to highlight the opportunities, challenges, and actions that can lead to more effective cancer control and management, while also focusing on the strategies needed to support the development of robust cancer policies. A key objective is also to ensure the optimal utilization of the EU-funded Cancer Mission program, which promotes collaborative research across stakeholders, with the ultimate goal of translating research outcomes into real-world impact through the implementation of innovative practices and interaction across Member States in cancer care.

Key topics to be addressed at the “2nd Synergies Forum on Cancer Policy, Research & Funding Strategies” include:

• Developments in the National Cancer Action Plan

• Investing in prevention and strengthening public health systems

• Precision medicine, gene and cell therapies as the core of innovation

Σε συνέχεια του εξαιρετικά παραγωγικού 1st Greek Forum on Cancer τον Ιούλιο 2024 , η Ελληνική Ομοσπονδία Καρκίνου-ΕΛΛΟΚ διοργανώνει το “2nd Synergies Forum on Cancer Policy, Research & Funding Strategies”, που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην Αθήνα στις 30 Ιουνίου-1 Ιουλίου 2025 στο ξενοδοχείο Wyndham Grand Athens.

Στόχος του “2nd Synergies Forum on Cancer Policy, Research & Funding Strategies”, αποτελεί η ανάδειξη των ευκαιριών, των προκλήσεων και δράσεων, που θα οδηγήσουν στην αποτελεσματική αντιμετώπιση και διαχείριση του καρκίνου και παράλληλα των στρατηγικών που θα υποστηρίξουν την ανάπτυξη των αναγκαίων πολιτικών υγείας. Επιπλέον, στοχεύει στην βέλτιστη αξιοποίηση του ερευνητικού Ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος Αποστολή για τον καρκίνο (Cancer Mission), το οποίο μέσα από τη χρηματοδότηση της έρευνας για τον καρκίνο, προωθεί τις συνεργασίες όλων των εμπλεκόμενων φορέων, επιδιώκοντας στη μετάφραση των τελικών ερευνητικών αποτελεσμάτων σε εφαρμόσιμες πρακτικές στον πραγματικό κόσμο, ενθαρρύνοντας τη διάδραση στην ογκολογική φροντίδα μεταξύ των κρατών μελών.
