Become a Member of ELLOK

The Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK is the official secondary body representing cancer patient organizations. It consists of 50 member organizations from across Greece, advocating for all types of cancer, including solid tumors, hematological malignancies, both common and rare cancers, as well as pediatric cancers.

By joining ELLOK, your Association becomes part of a large network of cancer patient organizations across our country, offering valuable opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and participation in joint initiatives. These initiatives can have a greater impact and effectiveness than any single association could achieve on its own.

Advantages of participation:

Awareness: Access to reliable and well-documented information regarding the latest developments in cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, innovative treatment options, modern technologies, research, and access to clinical trials.

Support: Provision of expertise to support the development of your Association’s social work, through the assistance of a Social Worker, offering information, empowerment, guidance, and advocacy in claiming rights, as well as connection and referral to health and social welfare services.

Skills development: Empowerment and support of the functional development of member associations, aiming to ensure sustainability and the provision of high-quality services to their members.

Participation in the development of cancer policy proposals: Advocacy for demands, support in addressing issues, and participation in consultations and submission of requests aimed at improving oncology care and treatment at both national and European levels.

Networking: Regular communication and exchange of views and best practices with other members of ELL.O.K. through member participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, campaigns, and other events.

Criteria for participation:

All cancer patient organizations, as well as organizations of volunteers, families, and friends of cancer patients, that have been legally established and operate in our country, and whose purposes, actions, and statutes align with and do not contradict those of the Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK, can become members.

All members of ELLOK are represented by two representatives. The annual membership fee for ELLOK is 10 euros.
