  • Specifically, the study aims to conduct a retrospective analysis of the current situation regarding the support provided in each EU/EEA-EFTA member state to cancer patients and survivors, in order to help them retain their employment and/or return to work during or after treatment.
  • To provide a forward-looking overview of what EU member states are planning in terms of policies and legislation to support job retention and return to work for cancer patients and survivors.
  • To identify the barriers and challenges experienced by cancer patients and survivors.
  • To identify at least 10 good practices regarding policy approaches aimed at addressing and mitigating barriers, and ensuring a better professional and personal life for cancer patients and survivors.

As part of its participation, ELLOK is tasked with documenting all measures, initiatives, and actions currently in place at the national level regarding the reintegration of individuals with cancer and cancer survivors into the workforce, as well as identifying the barriers and challenges they face.
