For the third consecutive year, the Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK) is convening the 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer: Policy, Research & Funding Strategies, which will take place at the Wyndham Grand Athens from 29 June to 1 July 2026.
Bringing together more than 200 distinguished speakers from across Europe, the Forum will serve as a unique platform for dialogue among academia, policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, patient advocates, industry representatives, and civil society. Participation will be open to the public, reflecting ELLOK’s commitment to transparency, inclusiveness and meaningful stakeholder engagement.
Focusing on the evolving European and national cancer policy landscape, the 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer will examine progress achieved to date, identify persistent challenges and explore innovative approaches to funding, implementation and system transformation. Particular attention will be given to translating the ambitions of the European Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Mission on Cancer into tangible improvements in prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and quality of life for people affected by cancer in Greece and across Europe.

Held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Health and leading national and international organisations, the Forum continues to strengthen its role as a key meeting point for shaping the future of cancer policy and care in Greece and Europe.

Εστιάζοντας τις ευρωπαϊκές και εθνικές πολιτικές για τον καρκίνο, το 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer της ΕΛΛΟΚ επιδιώκει να αναδείξει την πρόοδο αλλά και τις προκλήσεις της χρηματοδότησης και των μεταρρυθμίσεων και να προτείνει ουσιαστικές λύσεις ενθαρρύνοντας τον γόνιμο και δημιουργικό διάλογο πάνω στη μετατροπή του ευρωπαϊκού οράματος σε μετρήσιμα αποτελέσματα για τους ασθενείς στην Ελλάδα.

Το διεθνές Forum της ΕΛΛΟΚ για τον καρκίνο διοργανώνεται στην Αθήνα για τρίτη συνεχή χρονιά
Η Ελληνική Ομοσπονδία Καρκίνου – ΕΛΛΟΚ ανακοινώνει τη διοργάνωση του “3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer: Policy, Research & Funding Strategies”, που θα πραγματοποιηθεί 29, 30 Ιουνίου και 1 Ιουλίου 2026, στο ξενοδοχείο Wyndham Grand Athens. Το συνέδριο είναι ανοιχτό για το κοινό, κατόπιν εγγραφής, με ταυτόχρονη διερμηνεία στα ελληνικά και τα αγγλικά.
Περισσότεροι από 150 ομιλητές διεθνούς κύρους θα συγκεντρωθούν για 3 ημέρες στην Αθήνα προκειμένου να συζητήσουν και να αναδείξουν τις τρέχουσες ευκαιρίες, προκλήσεις και τις απαραίτητες δράσεις για την αποτελεσματική διαχείριση του καρκίνου και την υποστήριξη της ανάπτυξης βιώσιμων πολιτικών υγείας, τόσο σε εθνικό όσο και διεθνές επίπεδο.
«Η Ελληνική Ομοσπονδία Καρκίνου, στα 10 χρόνια δράσης της, έχει καταφέρει να φέρει τον άνθρωπο στο επίκεντρο της φροντίδας υγείας στην Ελλάδα, επενδύοντας στον διάλογο και τη συνεργασία μεταξύ όλων των εμπλεκόμενων φορέων, με βασικό στόχο τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των ογκολογικών ασθενών» δηλώνει ο Γιώργος Καπετανάκης, Πρόεδρος της ΕΛΛΟΚ. «Σε αυτή την κατεύθυνση κινείται η διοργάνωση για τρίτη συνεχή χρονιά του διεθνούς Synergies Forum, το οποίο εστιάζει σε στρατηγικές πολιτικής, έρευνας και χρηματοδότησης για τον καρκίνο. Οι προηγούμενες διοργανώσεις αποτελούν για εμάς παρακαταθήκη που αποδεικνύουν ότι οι δομικές αλλαγές υπέρ των ασθενών έρχονται μόνο μέσα από τις συνέργειες, τον γόνιμο διάλογο και τη συνεργασία όλων των φορέων, ενώ η φωνή των ασθενών θα πρέπει vα αποτελεί εξαρχής μέρος διαδικασίας, από τη χάραξη των πολιτικών μέχρι τη φροντίδα υγείας».
Διακεκριμένοι ομιλητές από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό θα πλαισιώσουν τις εργασίες της εκδήλωσης, προσεγγίζοντας καίρια ζητήματα, όπως οι εξελίξεις στην ανάπτυξη του Εθνικού Σχεδίου Δράσης για τον καρκίνο, η ψηφιοποίηση της υγείας και οι εξελίξεις στον Ευρωπαϊκό Χώρο Δεδομένων Υγείας. Μέσα από εμπεριστατωμένες παρεμβάσεις, θα προσφέρουν πολύτιμες γνώσεις και οπτικές, συμβάλλοντας ουσιαστικά στον διάλογο γύρω από τις προκλήσεις και τις προοπτικές της ογκολογικής κοινότητας.
Πιο συγκεκριμένα, ορισμένα από τα βασικά ζητήματα που θα συζητηθούν στο τριήμερο Forum είναι:
- Εθνικό Σχέδιο Δράσης για τον Καρκίνο: Πρόοδος των εθνικών πρωτοβουλιών, πιλοτικών προγραμμάτων και ενσωμάτωση προτεραιοτήτων.
- Μετασχηματίζοντας τις Πολιτικές για τον Καρκίνο: Διασφάλιση της βιώσιμης πρόσβασης στην Καινοτομία, όπως η θεσμοθέτηση του νέου Ταμείου Καινοτομίας.
- Ψηφιακός Μετασχηματισμός και Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη: Εφαρμογές ΤΝ στην ογκολογία, ψηφιακά εργαλεία για επαγγελματίες υγείας και ασθενείς και η ετοιμότητα της Ελλάδας για τον Ευρωπαϊκό Χώρο Δεδομένων Υγείας (EHDS).
- Ιατρική Ακριβείας και Εξατομικευμένη Φροντίδα: Προηγμένες θεραπείες, βιοδείκτες, γονιδιωματικός έλεγχος και η πρόσβαση των ασθενών σε καινοτόμα θεραπευτικά σχήματα.
- Πρόληψη και Έγκαιρη Διάγνωση: Στρατηγικές πρόληψης ως μοχλός βελτίωσης των αποτελεσμάτων υγείας και η σημασία του προσυμπτωματικού ελέγχου.
- Διεπιστημονική Συνεργασία και Ογκολογικά Συμβούλια: Η ενσωμάτωση των MDTs (Multidisciplinary Teams) στην κλινική πραγματικότητα και η διαχείριση της πολυπλοκότητας (π.χ. Καρδιο-Ογκολογία).
Ομιλία θα πραγματοποιήσει ο Υπουργός Υγείας, Άδωνις Γεωργιάδης, κατά την πρώτη ημέρα των εργασιών. Στο Forum, θα συμμετάσχει επίσης η Αναπληρώτρια Υπουργός Υγείας, Ειρήνη Αγαπηδάκη, ενώ σημαντικές παρεμβάσεις θα πραγματοποιηθούν σε θεματικές συζητήσεις και από τον Υφυπουργό Υγείας, Μάριο Θεμιστοκλέους, αλλά και από τους Γενικούς Γραμματείς του Υπουργείου, Άρη Αγγελή, Λίλιαν Βενετία Βιλδιρίδη και Χριστίνα-Μαρία Κράββαρη.
