For the third consecutive year, the Hellenic Cancer Federation - ELLOK is organizing the highly significant cancer forum entitled “3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer: Policy, Research & Funding Strategies”,  which will take place at the Wyndham Grand Athens from June 29 to July 1, 2026. More than 200 internationally renowned speakers have been invited to participate in the conference, which will be open to the public.

Focusing on European and national cancer policies, ELLOK’s 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer aims to highlight both the progress achieved and the challenges related to funding and reforms, while proposing meaningful solutions by encouraging constructive and productive dialogue on transforming the European vision into measurable outcomes for patients in Greece.

“In a period marked by intense upheavals and complex geopolitical and social changes, Europe is being called upon to redefine its strategic priorities, while at the same time ensuring adequate space for health, the continuation of European programs, and the sustainability of healthcare and care systems,” emphasizes Giorgos Kapetanakis, President of ELLOK. “Ensuring equal access to modern therapeutic options, strengthening the role of patient organizations, enhancing health literacy, and leveraging new technologies and artificial intelligence are essential prerequisites for securing a sustainable, resilient, and patient-centered healthcare system. At ELLOK, we have a duty, both as the voice of cancer patients and as the National Cancer Mission Hub for Greece, to act as a catalyst for developments by strengthening synergies among all stakeholders through constructive and meaningful dialogue, guided by ethics, values, and a clear human-centered orientation.”

The 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and other major international and domestic scientific bodies. A detailed program will be announced in the near future. Stay tuned!
